In the heart of Billnäs, the beautiful mansion, Billnäs Gård, stands by the river of Mustionjoki. Taina Snellman-Langenskiöld, creative director of Billnäs Gård, is responsible for the interior design.
House Rescue project
The Billnäs Gård Mansion is originally built in 1912. The villa was originally in an ancient condition and has been fully restored cooperation with the Finnish Museum Agency. Up to the garden, the villa has been extensively restored both inside and outside. The restoration is done with exceptional purity, with the idea that the house will stand in place for at least another 100 years.
The design in Billnäs Gård is based on the idea of recycling and ecology. Vintage furniture have been carefully picked and restored to give the villa a unique look and feeling. The aim of the interior design is to use materials and furniture that age beautifully respecting the historical feeling of the house.
Recycling and ecology in the core of the interior design in Billnäs Gård Project
Interior Design with colours and harmony
The design is based on the idea of recycling and ecology. Vintage furniture have been carefully picked and restored to give the villa a unique look and feeling. The aim of the interior design is to use materials and furniture that age beautifully respecting the historical feeling of the house.
The color choices of the villa are unique, and each room has a different atmosphere. Various natural colors and shades are present in the interior. Although different and bold tones repeat in the villa, the aim is to create the most harmonious result as possible. There are hardly any white walls in the manor. Each space and room offer its visitors a unique visual experience.
The ultimate idea in space planning and interior design is that visitors feel good in a beautiful environment. The aim was to create a homie interior while respecting the old, but without feeling like in a museum.
